Giving Thanks to God

Giving thanks to God should be an integral part of your life. As the year comes to an end and you reflect on the events that had transpired during the year under review.
God’s healing from sickness and affliction, the beautiful moments in your life and the not so good times.
The many answered and unanswered prayers, the accomplished and unaccomplished dreams, goals and aspirations.
You are left to muzzle out strength to acknowledged God. And give him thanks for what he has done and what is yet to be done in your life.
But genuine thanksgiving is an emotional expression of gratitude to God. And the total submission, acknowledgment of God’s will in your life regardless of your present circumstances.
The holy book tells us to give thanks in all situations of life. Let’s be honest to ourselves, when we are faced with difficult and painful real-life situations.
Such as loss of a loved one, barrenness, joblessness, sickness, facing challenges in your business, affliction, and disappointment.

One thing for sure is that God always knows the end from the beginning he is an all-knowing God. Before you are formed from your mother’s womb he knows your situations.
You should confide in him, tell God your fears and frustrations. Never fail to ask God, even when the situations look hopeless.
Just look around, your neighbors, colleagues. And people living in and around your community that are in a more difficult situation.
You still have a reason to be thankful to God for life and the ability to reason and even comprehend the situation. These are special gifts from God. A lot of people are in a state of disillusionment.
Remembering the fact that God will never leave or forsake you. Having your mind focus, with an unwavering faith that tomorrow will be greater than today.
Though you may not understand the rationale behind your present circumstances. Just like King David in the bible, when he was faced with difficult situations. His family and that of his men were captured and taken captive and the town burnt down.
Giving Thanks Amid Uncertainty
All he could see around him is pain, despair, frustration, and anger his men threaten to stone him, but he encourages himself in the lord
There comes a time in your life that all you see around you is disappointment and discouragement nothing seems to work.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear
or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord
your God who goes with you. He will
not leave you or forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
Just like King David you have to encourage yourselves amid uncertainty. With the strong belief that God always has a better plan for you and his will would prevail.
“for I know the plans I have for you
declares the Lord plans to prosper you
and not to harm you plans to give
you hope and a future”
Jeremiah 29:11
We should cultivate the habit of looking at those below us or those less privileged than us. It gives room for appreciation, thankfulness and positive good perception towards life.
While you maintain a positive outlook` towards ‘life keeping your dreams and aspirations in perspective.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in
everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known
to God. And the peace of God which surpasses
all understanding, will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus”.
Philippians 4:6-7
